We are seeking workshop presenters and moderators to offer a diverse range of topics that appeal to a wide spectrum of Transgender individuals, their families and friends. Our last conference in 2019 exceeded seven hundred attendees including transmen, transwomen, non-binary, gender queer and gender expansive people, their spouses, significant others and families, educators, medical and mental health professionals and attorneys whose ages ranged from 8 to 87.
The Deadline to Submit Is January 15th, 2022
The 'deadline' to submit is January 15th, 2022. We start to select and schedule workshops starting in mid-December. We expect to have 80% of our workshop slots filled by mid-January. The remaining will be filled by February. We will accept proposals past the deadline--realize that your submission may be considered after all other workshops are reviewed.
Duration & Equipment
Workshops are 1 hour and 15 minutes with 15 minutes of break time scheduled between workshops. Please plan your workshop to be no longer than one hour to permit time for questions & answers. The Keystone Conference can provide a projector, cart, screen, and flip chart if needed. We ask presenters to bring their own laptops, MacBooks, ChromeBooks, etc. We have Mac cables for the projectors if you have an Apple platform, too. Nevertheless, it is best to bring your connecting cables as well if you have them.
Planning with COVID
With the Keystone Conference months away, it is too early to know if there will be government mandated COVID restrictions that could affect this event. Our hope is that there will be no restrictions. Nevertheless, we have developed alternate plans in the case there are restrictions that limit activities at Keystone. One of the unfortunate possibilities we forsee is the need to reduce the number of in-person workshops and so we have created a plan to offer workshops both in-person and virtually, if needed, either live stream from your location or pre-recorded. Even if there are no restrictions in place, this virtual workhop concept could be made available to participants who do not feel comfortable presenting in-person because of COVID.
Being Adaptable as Needed
During the workshop submission process, you will be asked whether you are willing to conduct the workshop In-Person, Virtually Live (via Zoom), and/or Virtually (Pre-Recorded). Again, we're hopeful that we'll be able to host a full conference event like we've done in the past but knowing your ability and willingness to adapt if the need arises. We thank you for your understanding and commitment during these challenging times. Please review our most up-to-date COVID Policy here.
Our goal is to celebrate our unique gender diversity and to show how we can live peacefully and fully in our transgender lives. If you are interested in presenting at the 2022 Keystone Conference, please click on the link below to submit a workshop proposal:
