2026 Participant Biographies

Hi, I’m Emma Schutte, a certified hair removal specialist and operations director at Luma Laser and Electrolysis. I’m honored to support transgender and gender-diverse clients seeking permanent hair removal for affirmation or surgery. My work centers on consent, clear communication, and creating a space where people feel safe and seen. The most meaningful part of this work is witnessing confidence grow as clients begin to feel more aligned in their bodies. I believe education is a critical part of hair removal, and I love partnering with clients to create thoughtful, bespoke treatment plans that reflect their goals, comfort, and pace. Outside of work, I love being outdoors, moodboarding my next nail set (Keystone Claws, always), reading — especially client-recommended books — and exploring tarot and astrology.
