2023 Participant Biographies
Kathy Randall (Randi) Klein. (she, her, they, them). Minister Kathy identifies as gender fluid and expresses this through lifestyle choices and cross-dressing. Kathy lives part time in the female gender presentation. As a commissioned Stephen Minister, Kathy provides counseling for those who are going through rough times, focusing usually on gender issues. Kathy began as a featured writer for “Grace and Lace” publications in the early 2000s. In 2008, Kathy founded Light in the Closet Ministry, an online support for Christian cross-dressers. Growing up in the Christian faith, Kathy has served in many ministry capacities over the past 35 years, both full and part time, including the first ever Transgender Religious Leaders Summit in 2007. From 2010 through 2014, Kathy was the organizer, speaker and co/host, along with CLGS (Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies), of the Transgender Religious Leaders Summit in Berkeley, California. Kathy expanded the day-long event to a three-day event which hosted over 100 transgendered faith leaders from a diverse range of faith backgrounds. Kathy participated in HRC’s Clergy Call in 2011 and 2013 in Washington, DC. Kathy has spoken over the past 20 years at various conferences, including Creating Change, Southern Comfort in Atlanta & Florida, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, and Keystone Transgender Conference. This past year, Kathy took great joy in speaking on Transgender Awareness Day at a public event in the town she grew up in.
Kathy enjoys writing, golfing, traveling and just being with her transgendered and sis-gendered friends and family. Kathy has been married for over 40 years, and has three supportive children and three grandchildren.
