Stephanie Davis began her career as an educator, teaching general music and 5th grade literacy & social studies in the Baltimore City Public Schools system. She was and is known as a charismatic and passionate classroom presence. After five years in this field, Stephanie pursued advocacy through a Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary and a position as a chaplain at WellSpan York Hospital. In that role, Stephanie practiced and refined trauma-informed approaches to the care of individuals in crisis. The first chaplain in the hospital’s history to win a ROSE award for exemplary patient care, she ended her time at York Hospital having been awarded six of these in total. Now as a Prevention and Outreach Advocate, Stephanie can marry both skill sets and passions, advocating for individual survivors and delivering sorely-needed and efficacious lessons to promote healthy, equitable relationships, nonviolence, dating safety, etc. to the tweens, teens, and young adults of York County.
