2025 Participant Biographies

Karla is a transgender woman who came out to her spouse in 2009. She began her transition in 2017 while working for South Londonderry Township as head of maintenance and a licensed Wastewater Operator. Retiring this year after 25 years on the job. After having spent her career behind the scenes, she continues in community service. She is a member of TransCentralPA, My Feminine Heart and a new member of the Vanity Club. She serves as the Registrar for the Keystone Conference and Secretary/Treasurer for TransCentralPA. She enjoys traveling and astronomy.
